Hello, my name is Kayan Shah a class of 2025 student at Leland High School. I have a strong interest in finance, business, entrepreneurship, investments and most things money. Other interests of mine include, travelling, outdoor adventuring and my Indian culture and Jain religion. I am a boy scout and I am currently an Eagle Scout candidate (will achieve the rank by January 2023). I am creating this blog to share my ideas and opinions about current events, anything finance/money related as well as, a place to just write about whatever interests me.
This photo is of me in London, England in October 2022. I found this trip to be very interesting, not only because its a great country, but because the dollar and pound were nearly equivalent.. Everything in London was much less expensive than it had been previously. With the turbulence of over spending, inflation as well as the Queen's passing and Prime Minister changes happening in the UK government, this may be a long lasting phenomenon. An example of how "inexpensive" it was, a freshly squeezed cup of orange juice was 1 pound while in the US this would have been at least 3-4 dollars. This is because the UK economy has not caught up with the value of the pound going down. This tidbit is an example of what this blog will be about.
